Organizational behaviour comes from combination of two words :
1.Organization
2. Behaviour

*Organization is a collection of people who work together to achieve a common goal or objective.
*Behaviour is the way that how people act or conduct theirselves in front of others.

CONCEPT OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR:-

                 
Organizational behaviour or OB is the study of human behaviour in organizational settings,it is the interface between human behaviour and the organization.
Organizational behaviour is the study of both group and individual performance and activity wthin or organiztaion.

-Organizational behaviour can be defined as the understanding,prediction and management of human behaviour,both individually or in the group that occur within or organization.
-Organizational behaviour helps us to study the complex nature of human being organizations by identifying causes and effects of that behaviour.
-It helps to motivate employees and to maintain interrelations in organization.
-Organizational behaviour helps in improving induatrial/labour relation.

FACTS OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR:-
a).Organizational behaviour is the study of how people behave with in group.
b).Early studies determined the importance of group dynamic in business productivity.
c).This study is a foundation of corporate human resources.

DEFINITION OF ORGANI,ZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR:-

1.Organizational behaviour is directly concerned with the understanding,prediction,and control of human behaviour in organization.

1-  PEOPLE:  The existence of organization is impossible without people.people consist of individuals and groups.Groups may be formal and informal ,large,small
interrelate and complex ,organizations are established to serve the people.

2-STRUCTURE:  In this world everything has a structure.For example -human body,tree,house and even the book you are reading now its own type of structure .
                               in an organization,structure defines the roles and relationship of people.it leds to division of work i.e.; some may be
executives;others maybe supervisors,assistents,persons and workers.
  "The structure clarifies  the authority and responsibility relationship".

3-TECHNOLOGY:  In today's world without technolgy work would be either difficult even impossible.it provides the economic and physical resources to make
peoples job easy.the people are given assistence of machines ,tools methods and resources.The nature of is dependent upon the nature of tasks and scale
operations.Technology may also put restriction on the freedom of people.

4-ENVIRONMENT:  All organization operate in an internal and external environment.A single organization does not exist alone .It is a part of large system
that contains many other elements such as government ,the family and other organization  numerious changes in the environment create demands on organization.
